Mandatory Core Files
1. PCB Fabrication File (Gerber File)
Gerber RS-274X format is the standard and preferred file format for PCB fabrication. The Gerber file must include the following layers:
Top copper layer
Bottom copper layer
Inner copper layers (for multilayer PCB)
Top solder mask layer
Bottom solder mask layer
Top silkscreen layer
Bottom silkscreen layer
Drill layer (including through hole, blind via, buried via)
Drill tool list
Board outline layer
Keep-out layer
Impedance control layer and specification (if applicable)
We also accept original design files from EDA software including Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, PADS, and Cadence Allegro. We can generate Gerber files from your original design files for free, with your written confirmation before production.
2. Bill of Materials (BOM) File
We require BOM file in Excel format, with the following mandatory information for each component:
Column 1: Designator (component reference number, e.g. R1, C1, U1)
Column 2: Manufacturer Name (full official name, no abbreviation)
Column 3: Manufacturer Part Number (full and accurate part number, no abbreviation)
Column 4: Component Description (including component value, package, tolerance, rating)
Column 5: Package / Case (standard package name, e.g. 0402, SOP-8, BGA-64)
Column 6: Quantity (total quantity for the order)Optional additional information:
Alternative manufacturer and part number
Supplier name
Mounting type (SMT / THT)
Do Not Place (DNP) mark for non-mount components
Special handling notesImportant notes:
Please ensure the manufacturer part number is 100% accurate, as wrong part number will cause wrong component sourcing
Please mark DNP components clearly, to avoid wrong assembly
Please mark polarized components clearly in BOM file
3. Centroid File (Pick and Place File)
Centroid file (also called Pick and Place file) is used to program the automatic pick and place machines, with component coordinate and rotation data. The file must include the following information for each component:
Designator (component reference number)
X coordinate of component center
Y coordinate of component center
Rotation angle of component
Layer (Top side / Bottom side)
We accept centroid file in text format, CSV format, Excel format, or the file directly exported from EDA software. Please ensure the coordinate data is consistent with the Gerber file, to avoid placement errors.
Optional Required Files According to Order Requirements
4. Assembly Drawing File
Assembly drawing file is required for complex assembly orders, with the following information:
PCB outline and dimension
Component polarity indication for polarized components
Special assembly notes and requirements
Mechanical assembly requirements
Press-fit connector assembly requirements
Conformal coating area and requirement
Labeling position and requirement
Any other special assembly instructions
We accept assembly drawing in PDF format, DWG format, or the drawing exported from EDA software.
5. Test Related Files
If you require testing services for your PCBA order, please provide the following files:
Functional Test Specification: detailed test steps, test conditions, test parameters, and acceptance standards
In-Circuit Test (ICT) fixture file and test program
Test point list and coordinate file
Firmware file for chip programming, including programming specification
Bootloader file and programming instruction
6. Other Special Files
Panelization drawing and requirement, if you have specific panelization design
Conformal coating specification and drawing, if conformal coating is required
Box build assembly drawing and instruction, if box build service is required
Laser marking file and requirement, if serial number or logo marking is required
File Submission Notes
All files must be submitted in a compressed package, with clear file name indicating order number and file type
Please confirm all files are complete and consistent with each other before submission
Please inform our team immediately if there is any file update or design change, before production starts
Any design change after production starts will cause production delay and additional cost
We will conduct a full file review within 24 hours after receiving your files, and inform you of any issues or missing information
