Overview
Functional Testing (FCT) is a final functional verification process for assembled PCBA boards, executed after the ICT test is passed. It simulates the actual operating environment of the product, powers on the PCBA board, and conducts a comprehensive test of all functional modules of the product, to verify whether the assembled PCBA can achieve the designed functional performance in the actual operating state. This process is the final gate to ensure that the product meets the end-use functional requirements, and only boards that pass the full FCT can enter the subsequent aging test or shipment process. All FCT operations are formulated according to the customer's product functional specifications and IPC international standards.
Customized Test Scheme Formulation
The FCT scheme is customized 100% according to the customer's product functional specifications and design documents
Specialized test fixtures and test software are developed for each product, to match the functional test requirements
Test items, test parameters, and qualification standards are confirmed with the customer before formal test execution
Test schemes can be adjusted according to the product application scenario and test requirements
All test equipment is calibrated regularly, to ensure the accuracy of the test results
Real Operating Environment Simulation
The test system simulates the actual power supply environment of the product, with adjustable voltage and current parameters
The actual operating load of the product is simulated, to verify the functional performance under rated working conditions
Peripheral equipment and communication environment required for product operation are simulated
Temperature and humidity environment can be controlled according to the test requirements, to simulate the actual application scenario
The test process fully restores the user's actual operation process, to ensure the authenticity of the test results
Full-Module Function Validation
Power supply module output stability and load adaptation test
Core control module operation logic and function execution test
Signal transmission module communication quality and protocol compatibility test
Sensor module data collection accuracy and response speed test
Interface module connection stability and data transmission test
Protection module trigger condition and protection effect test
Human-computer interaction module function and response test
Low power consumption mode and sleep mode function test
Performance Parameter Calibration
Key performance parameters of the product are calibrated according to the design specifications
Parameter calibration records are archived for each board, with full traceability
Calibration tools are calibrated regularly, to ensure the accuracy of the calibration data
The calibrated parameters are verified repeatedly, to ensure the stability of the product performance
Calibration data can be provided to customers upon request
Test Result Documented Management
All test items, test data, and qualification results are automatically recorded by the test system
A unique test report is generated for each PCBA board, with a corresponding identification code
Test reports are archived for each batch, with a retention period of not less than 3 years
Unqualified products are marked with specific defect items and reasons, to guide the rework process
Batch test data is statistically analyzed, to identify functional stability problems and optimize the product design and production process
